About Me

I am Michele Baxendale-Nichols, a senior nurse leader with more than 30 years of experience across NHS, private healthcare and social care. I have an MSc in Healthcare Leadership and Management and I am an trained coach.

My career has included leadership at home, regional, executive and board level, with a strong focus on governance, operational leadership, ethical decision-making, service quality, workforce development and compassionate care.

I have led through complexity, supported services through change, commissioned new care environments, strengthened standards, mentored leaders and helped families navigate difficult realities.

What matters most to me is bringing together professional wisdom and human understanding.

I know that in care, the most difficult moments rarely fit neatly into policy or process. Families need honesty. Leaders need somewhere safe to think. Organisations need integrity as well as performance. My work exists to support those spaces.

I work with calmness, honesty and care.

Leadership wisdom for care leaders, providers and families

There are moments in care when people do not need more noise. They need clarity. They need experience. They need someone who understands both the systems and the human weight of what is happening.

That is the work I offer.

I support care organisations, leaders and families with honest guidance, reflective thinking and calm professional insight. My approach is thoughtful, boundaried and deeply grounded in the realities of care.

I do not offer false reassurance. I offer experienced support that helps people think clearly, act wisely and move forward with greater confidence.
